Leader in Me is a leadership curriculum taught in schools across the globe. As a part of my role on the in-house design team, I helped refresh the brand aesthetics and applied them to numerous educational materials including workbooks, presentations, and one page resources.

Brief

The product team wanted to modernize their brand visuals and evoke a sense of friendliness and playfulness with a focus on appealing to both educators and students.

To better cater to the secondary demographic, they wanted a new, refreshed illustration style to complement the materials.

After brainstorming sessions with my team, we landed on this whimsical style of spot illustration that blends seamlessly with photography. It allows students to see themselves in the subject matter while still adding a touch of playfulness.

Results

My work on the Leader in Me brand directly contributed to creating friendlier and more relatable educational materials, resulting in increased school retention and higher order volumes for FranklinCovey’s marketplace.
